APS survivor Ahmad Nawaz has won the election of Oxford Union in University of Oxford!

ahmadnawaz

In Pakistan, Ahmad Nawaz was shot by the Taliban in the Peshawar school attack in 2014, which resulted in the slaughter of 150 students and teachers. His younger brother was also killed in the incident. Following this traumatic incident, he vowed to do anything to deter such attacks in the future, and in 2015, he launched a campaign in the United Kingdom to inspire students to take an active role in society. He recently won the Oxford Union election at the University of Oxford by gaining more votes from oxford university students. He was elected to the Oxford Union’s Governing and Standing Committee, which is regarded as the world’s largest union, hosting debates with the world’s most powerful leaders and celebrities. Today, Ahmad works as an Envoy for the Anne Frank Organisation, the Oxford Foundation, and World Merit as a Global Youth Ambassador. His campaign is focused on improving Pakistan’s reputation and promoting Pakistanis who are genuinely working hard for the region. In an interview, he said that it would be beneficial to Pakistan’s profile.
