Online classes and Pakistan

One of the biggest concern in this unexpected era of corona virus was “how would education countinue?”.
1st world countries who were already relying on internet found it easier to shift on online classes while 3rd world countries like Pakistan were still confused on what to do, and to be honest they still are.
Pakistani government then decide to switch on digital media for education, so that the youth could still learn without being at the risk of catching the virus.

This decision looks good on paper but when we try to imply it we’ll realise that most of the households in Pakistan don’t have regular internet connection and to be honest a country where load shedding is a big issues relying on online classes for education is not a solution. But our government never took that in to consideration and went on with the idea of online classes, due to which many children in Pakistan suffered great loss in their education.
And if we talk about the people who had access to internet still suffered a great loss as it is quite clear that online classes are in no way near physical classes. But still with board exams nearing students are being pressurized to give a good result.

In times like these it is very important for parents to be there for their children. And also raise our voices so that our government would take action and help reduce the anxiety of students. We should also help others by making donations to charities who are working hard to make sure that a child is getting all the resources he/she needs to learn in these unexpected times.

Also no one seems to notice how online classes trend have effected the lives of children’s. They are so invested in digital world world that they don’t do any physical labour. What about playing in grounds? In one way our youth is being subjected to digital world which causes them to lose touch with physical world.
