Great news for cricket fans in Pakistan as the West Indies Cricket Team has just arrived in Pakistan for subsequent ODI and T20 series starting in the upcoming week! The team’s official Twitter account posted images of the players getting off at the airport and expressed their heartfelt gratitude at the PCB for hosting them.
The tour will consist of 6 matches, all of which will be held in the city of lights, Karachi. The first T20 match will be held at 6:00 p.m the coming Monday, and we can’t wait to see some good-spirited cricket following Pakistan’s spectacular performances at the T20 world cup and the test match series against Bangladesh.
The team is being given high security protocol to ensure a comfortable and perfectly managed experience throughout their tour of the country, which can be seen in this video.
West Indian skipper Nicholas Pooran also reported to be happy about his first visit to this country with a tweeted selfie from the airplane, in response to which Mohammad Hafeez extended his heartiest welcome.
If there is one thing that brings the whole country together regardless of political and social differences, it’s definitely cricket. Here is to hoping the game continues to spread joy amongst the masses!
