PDM Plotting Against Pakistan Military, PM Imran

Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday accused the Opposition alliance PDM of plotting against him and Pakistan’s armed forces.

The prime minister, in an interview with Dunya News, challenged his political opponents to cite even a single example where the military has outstepped its limits and backed the

PM Khan further said that the recent report by EU DisinfoLab has exposed the leaders of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) as well as the false media outlets which are supporting them.

“They both pursue the same agenda, that is to attack Imran Khan and the Pakistan Army,” the premier said.

PM Imran said he does not like to interfere in any institution and the government enjoys cordial relations with the military because the military knows that he is not corrupt and working for the development of the country.

He said: “The military will stand with any prime minister who works for Pakistan’s betterment.”

The prime minister said the military wants to see a strong Pakistan under a responsible government that has no stakes outside the country.

He said any nation that is trapped under heavy debt loses its independent foreign policy and its sovereignty, which no military would ever want.

Reiterating his assertion about NRO, he said that the opposition is in a stalemate because it has failed to prove any rigging in the election and is facing a man who is not prepared to give them an NRO—unlike General (retd) Pervaiz Musharraf.

PM Khan further said that the corrupt Opposition cannot run a campaign for the general public as their entire movement is for getting an NRO.

Taking to the recent criticism for not being prepared, he said that he has never made excuses of not being ready, but talked about being briefed before assuming office as the prime minister.
