Procrastination, it reasons and cure

We keep on piling-up our tasks for tomorrow and that tomorrow does not come.


Procrastination means delaying your tasks till the last moment. Procrastination acts like a force which prevents a person from accomplishing tasks on the right time. It is often confused with laziness. But procrastination and laziness are two different phenomena. A lazy person may not procrastinate, on the other hand a procrastinator may not be lazy.
Why do we procrastinate?
We procrastinate because of lack of confidence, we find ourselves incapable of accomplishing our tasks, sometimes people take their tasks easy and delay them till the last moment. Another reason can be our perfectionist natureand unless we find a perfect way for our task, we won’t try to even start our work.
Consequences of Procrastination
The habit of procrastination can lead to poor performance, creates tension and stress, one may miss opportunities, wastes time and lastly leads to self-depreciation.
How to overcome Procrastination?
To overcome procrastination, one should vomit to the task, focus on doing tasks and not to avoid them. Try to tackle with the task as soon as they are assigned to you. Try to minimise the distractions and prioritise your tasks.
Overcoming Procrastination
Overcoming procrastination will make you confident, brings feeling of being strong and capable. It also makes you feel empowered, and brings peace of mind.
Time is our greatest treasure, we should not waste it, as effective time management can be one of the reasons for our success. Lastly, We need to understand that if we procrastinate, then it can be a biggest hurdle in our success.
